FOUNDER AND MANAGING TRUSTEE
Dr.V. Shubhalaxmi is an environmentalist, educationist entrepreneur, entomologist and an author. She is also the founder and the head of iNaturwatch Foundation, Ladybird Environmental Consulting and Birdwing Publishers.
As a kid, she was often spotted chasing flies and her love for biology was kindled at a very young age. She later went on to pursue her love for the environment by studying abroad and bringing back her knowledge and expertise to serve the country via her work in the specialised field of Environment. Dr Shubha is also often referred to as the 'Moth Lady of India' thanks to her intensive work and study of moths! Due to her unimaginable love for animals, today she is a mother to 12 rescued cats and a hardcore non-vegetarian turned VEGAN. In her free time, she loves to dance off her worries and cook delicacies from her hometown. She is also often found captured in some of the country's leading newspapers.

Mr.Isaac David Kehimkar is an Indian naturalist, photographer, author and teacher. He can best be described as an avid naturalist, keen nature photographer and respected author in one enterprising and imaginative package. He has over 30 years worth of experience working at BNHS. His specialization in Butterflies earned him the title of 'The Butterfly Man of India'. As a child, he has spent numerous years chasing butterflies and dwelling in their beautiful colours. In his free time, he loves exploring the world, travelling with his camera capturing the vividness that nature has to offer. Today, Mr Kehimkar is committed to popularizing the concept of butterfly gardens in urban areas as a way to bring young people closer to nature. He too is often to be spotted making headlines in national newspapers, magazines and covers.

Assistant Director
Priti is our senior-most zoologist. She manages and looks over all our field projects, and handles all communications and formalities between companies. BNHS alumni herself, her interest first saw light when a field trip from school took her to BNHS HQ, she later went on to follow her dreams and work at the same place where she first brewed them. Ever since her life has revolved around working to bring about sustainability and revolutionizing the study of animals in their natural habitat. 16 years later when asked what she loves doing in her free time, she still says, exploring nature, going on treks and studying the habitat of animals gives her the most pleasure. On rare occasions, apart from bird calls, she can be spotted grooving to Jagjit Singh melodies.
