Climate change mitigation involves reducing greenhouse gas emissions through new technologies, energy efficiency improvements, and changes in consumer behavior. Efforts are aimed at addressing the impacts of climate change.
In underdeveloped regions, over 2.6 billion people rely on inefficient cooking methods, leading to health and environmental issues. Accessible and affordable clean cooking facilities are crucial for sustainable development.
Improved cookstoves and cleaner cooking fuels meet standards for clean cooking. They contribute to fuel transition and environmental benefits. However, studies show that households often continue to use traditional cooking methods even after adopting cleaner technologies.
Addressing this challenge requires affordable clean cooking options and tackling economic and cultural factors that influence cooking choices. Efforts are needed to provide widespread access to clean cooking facilities and promote their adoption for a more sustainable future.
